How do I dispute an address link?

We would always recommend getting in touch directly with the lender reporting the information for any address link that you're unsure of. As the lender created the address link, they should be able to explain why it’s being reported.

The credit report should show the linked address alongside contact details for the lender. If the lender agrees with you that the address listed is incorrect, they will be able to remove the entry from your credit report.

There are no lender details for an address link I don't recognise - what should I do?

Where no lender details have been reported, only the credit reference agencies would be able to tell you who created the address link.

In cases like this, a data dispute is normally the most time-effective course of action. The agency listing the information would then be able to investigate whether they are able to remove the address and, if not, confirm who is still reporting it and why.

If you have an address link on your credit report without any lender details, please get in touch and we'll take a look to see whether a dispute would be the best next step.
