How do I allow Checkmyfile to use my camera/microphone for verification?
Here’s how to change your camera and microphone permissions to complete the authentication of your Checkmyfile account:
Google Chrome
Step 1 – Click on the three dots in the top-right of the screen, followed by ‘Settings’.
Step 2 – Select ‘Site settings’ from the menu.
Step 3 – Click on both the ‘Camera’ and ‘Microphone’ options and move the slider to ‘On’.
Step 4 – Refresh the page.
Mozilla Firefox
Step 1 – Click on the menu icon in the top-right of the screen, followed by ‘Settings’ or ‘Preferences’ depending on your version.
Step 2 – Select ‘Privacy & Security’ from the menu on the left.
Step 3 – Scroll down and click ‘Permissions’.
Step 4 – Click ‘Settings’ for the camera and microphone options. Firefox displays the websites with saved ‘Allow’ or ‘Block’ permissions. Click ‘Allow’ for both.
Step 5 – Refresh the page.
Safari
Step 1 – If you ignored the permission pop-up the first time, refresh the page and click to allow camera and microphone access.
Step 2 – If that didn’t help, click on ‘Safari’ in the top-left of the screen, followed by ‘Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 3 – Click on the ‘Websites’ tab.
Step 4 – Click on both the ‘Camera’ and ‘Microphone’ options and change the drop-down option to ‘Allow’.
Step 5 – Refresh the page.
Windows 10
Step 1 – Go to ‘Settings’ – you can search for them in the taskbar at the bottom of the page.
Step 2 – Click ‘Privacy & security’ from the menu on the left.
Step 3 - Click on both the ‘Camera’ and ‘Microphone’ options and move the slider to ‘On’.
Step 4 – Refresh the page.
Apple Mac OS
Step 1 – Click on the Apple icon in the top-left of the screen, followed by ‘System Settings’.
Step 2 – Click ‘Privacy & Security’ from the menu on the left.
Step 3 – Click on both the ‘Camera’ and ‘Microphone’ options and move the slider to ‘On’.
