How do I sign up?
Checkmyfile is an online service that gives you access to the most detailed credit report you can get. What’s more, we provide clear paths to progress, ensuring you understand where you stand, while identifying actions that will help you grow in the right direction.
If you’re new to us, you’ll get access to a 30-day free trial. It’s then £14.99 a month, and you can cancel any time. You can sign up here.
We ask for your payment details for a couple of reasons:
It helps with verification to match you to your credit report.
To enable a smooth transition from your free trial to becoming a subscriber. Rest assured, no payments will be taken during the 30-day free trial.
Once you’ve entered your details, you’ll be asked to answer some security questions on-screen to confirm your identity. Your credit report will then be available to view.
I’ve entered my card details but can’t access my report
This is likely due to an issue at the 3DS stage – the payment verification process required for online security. Once you’ve added your details to our payment page, you should see a pop-up (from either ‘Verified by Visa’ or ‘MasterCard SecureCode’) asking for a passcode.
You’ll receive the passcode via a text or an automated phone call to your mobile, or it will prompt you to open your mobile banking app. Don’t worry if you’re redirected away from our website to complete the 3DS; it will take you to a site you should recognise (like your bank or card provider).
If you’re not getting a pop-up for 3DS, you might need to scroll down slightly. If it’s still not there, check to see if your internet browser has pop-up blockers disabled – this might be preventing the popup from showing. Alternatively, it might be worth trying a different device or browser.
Once the 3DS has been completed, you’ll be able to continue setting up your Checkmyfile account.
