We’ll be sorry to see you go. Once you’ve cancelled, we’ll send you an email and a secure message to confirm.

If this doesn’t come through, it’s likely your subscription is still active. To check, we recommend that you:

  • Check your junk and spam email folders.

  • Log in to your Checkmyfile account and go to ‘Conversations’ in the Help Centre.

If you still can’t see any signs of a cancellation code, let us know and we’ll take a look for you.

We don’t restrict access to your Checkmyfile account once you’ve cancelled – so you’ll still be able to log in.

This gives you the flexibility to reactivate and cancel your subscription as and when you need. If you want to see an updated report after you’ve cancelled, you’ll need to reactivate your subscription.

My card has been cancelled but I’m still being charged

Regardless of whether your card has been replaced, lost stolen, broken or compromised, your card issuer will allow your recurring payments to continue as long as you have funds in the account.

Can I request a refund?

All our reports are bespoke to you and are updated daily. We don’t provide refunds for any unutilised periods, but you can cancel today and still access the report for 30 days after it was generated.

How do I delete my account?

If you’d like to delete your account under the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), let us know and we'll get this sorted for you. Make sure you've got everything you need from your account before you request to delete the data, as you’ll lose access to it once the GDPR request has been processed.
